Manuver 47B would continue. lol, except in the wrong direction XD. The ships are angled and, by extension, traveling in warp in the opposite direction their ships are traveling in space. So they're always traveling one way, but warp then moves them to point where they will move past their target. I checked with Wormy and if I understood him correctly this works. It means right now the Farengeto warp will be slightly slower since their realspace velocity pushes them the other way.

The Logical Action: The Farengeto would logically change their warp movement at least slightly to avoid predictability (such as Angle, Warp factor, and distance traveled), and they also possess the ability to easily do so.
The Dilemma: It basically reads as "the Farengeto dodge the worst of the Tarkan attacks, then launch another volley", which feels like godmodding.

I was thinking that they would change their angle (you didn't mention it so I assumed you didn't), though given that they're going for speed and efficiency, they can't deviate by much. Maybe they attacked at a different set of coordinates, causing Etzan to blanket the entire area in front of his fleet with torpedo fire?
It wouldn't be nearly as effective as a concentrated salvo, but 10,000 or so ships emptying their torpedo bays on a few dozen kilometers is bound to do some damage, even on the first shot.

Wait, the Farengeto are moving AWAY from the Tarkans at 0.75c, because the Tarkans passed them and they're doing the thing in the wrong direction. Their weapons would be useless...

Wait, the Farengeto are moving AWAY from the Tarkans at 0.75c, because the Tarkans passed them and they're doing the thing in the wrong direction. Their weapons would be useless... Well I was having them warp back in front of them and fire a volley as they move past, but I think I understand what you're saying. Either way, if you attack just right on the warp exit it should work.

As they're exiting, they're already moving in the opposite direction, which means that their missiles will also be moving at 0.75c the other way.

I can edit our emotes so that the internal logic of Maneuver 47b doesn't break down.

Fleet C is still a LOOOOONG way away from the battle, and Sirga has to get to Miperia first, having far outpaced fleet C...

She'll probably get to Miperia my next turn.

So here's what we're looking at...
Tekari's main fleet of roughly 2000 is in flight currently at 8.6, but may be forced back to 8.4 is time. Takrans have deployed 4000 ships after Tekari. Roughly 700 Farengeto vessels and Fleet D is evacuating Miperia 6700 Tarkan vessels close in on Miperia Fleet C is cut off from the allies by Sirga, both of whom are inbound to Miperia. Harenda's fleet is hours away. Etzan is demanding surrender, which may be inevitable.
Surrender means the loss of... 2 Farengeto fleets (20% of the navy), including its second-in-command and flagship Half the Miperior/Amphibibot navy (everything that's left) Most of the Miperian government
Well, I only have one thing to say about this... Checkmate.
BTW, that was intended to be an encrypted message.

O.O Wait, on whom? BTW, that was intended to be an encrypted message. Alright, I'll edit. Surrender means the loss of... 2 Farengeto fleets (20% of the navy), including its second-in-command and flagship Half the Miperior/Amphibibot navy (everything that's left) Most of the Miperian government I disagree with the first one. The allies in orbit of Miperia are practically obligated to surrender to save themselves. Their deaths would accomplish nothing for their cause. The Farengeto, on the other hand, still have a chance at freedom. They'll get pounded with warp missiles for most of the way and might take casualties, but there's a chance they can still be reached by Harenda. Etzan is broadcasting the surrender offer to the allied navies (and the subsequent response) to induce a morale shock if Fleet D surrenders. Fleet C would soon follow given that it (3,250 ships) is now alone against 14,000 ships.

I'm unsure about Etzan's offer. Part of me says he's lieing. Don't automatically reply yet on the IC thread, I need some time to think.

The obvious one. The only problem for them is the ~700 Farengeto non-combat ships. Luckily, if Harenda and Tekari's fleets could maintain warp 8.6 for long enough they'd be able to re-group in roughly 7 hours, rather than original 9 at Warp 8.4. Every hour at 8.6 saves them roughly 15 minutes.

Remember that if you fight you risk the entire former Miperian government

They (the lawmakers who actually might have the political power to surrender) might be pretty darn keen on not getting themselves shot to pieces. xD
