I dunno. Maybe just assume all of our weapons are warp-compatible?

Attaching warp drives to our weapons would fundamentally change their function, and the strategy surrounding their use. It's not that simple. xD

Well, we could come up with a new form of FTL drive. Retconning our previous battles would take too much time, and it'd set the entire Katarian community even FURTHER back.

nuuu Have the Draconid Imperium sell the Mips, Tarkans and Amphibibots warp drives for the weapons :n (At a reasonable cost, of course) EDIT: 42th post. The Meaning of Life

Our previous battles don't need retconning. They work on their own. It's this one that would need to be edited.

Well, we could come up with a new form of FTL drive. First issue... any ideas of a scientifically plausible method that would allow this? Well the only warp battles so far are this and the brief Aeon/Mardor one (which can be easily fixed later with negligible outcome changes). Basically the only changes are long range warp weaponry and close range everything else. We've barely gotten anywhere with this battle, so it's nota serious change. On a different note, you really need to stop taking so long Ace. We're checking this forum several times a day while we wait for your posts. And everyone else needs to make sure they are posting ASAPas well.

Then why was the example used a warp battle?

Because it was convenient >.< Nothing needs to be changed in that battle, they could just as well be firing warp-capable missiles at one another.

We decide what we want to do regarding the Battle of Fleet A.

I'm all for doing it again, I just need to know how warp battles work now.

Alright, the idea is that they work like air-to-air battles worked during the Cold War. You have two squadrons of units advancing towards one another from a very long distance. Once they move into the firing range of their missiles – dictated by the amount of fuel the missile contains – they shoot at one another until they can close the distance and engage in dogfighting. There can be different types of warp missiles, like some that directly target vessels and others that interfere with the stability of warp fields (thereby forcing ships out of warp).
Overall, it's an idea in the making. Any suggestions are more than welcome.

So, only certain missiles can be in warp? I'm guessing saBOTeurs can't be launched in warp speed, but are most units capable of shooting these warp missiles?
(Also, if Einstein is someday proven wrong, I will cry)

Only those equipped with warp drive can be fired while at warp. Most units can fire them, and how many they have can be dictated by their size/type. SaBOTeurs can could be equipped with warp drives too, they'd just be very visible.

Ah, alright then. I suppose the standard, original image for Fleet A's formation is fine, so you can edit your post if you want Angry.
