(OOC note: This is a fiction solely between me and AceofSpace, aka OpelSpeedster.)
January 2nd, 2693
Gmfk leaned back in his chair, tired. He was waiting for the officials who were busy running some checks to finish already. "I'm dreadfully sorry," said one of them, "but these last-minute things take quite a while." Gmfk sighed and closed his eyes. A quick beeping sound, however, woke him up. His eyes nervously darted to the officials, who looked just as suprised as he was. Finally, he looked at a panel where an icon of a communications dish was flashing.
"A transmission? Haven't gotten one of those in a while... who's it from?" asked Gmfk. The workers read the data, and then said, "Sir... it says it's... A-000001."
Gmfk's eyes popped open. "Well then... let's see what they have to say..."

"Greetings, carbon-based life form. You probably know, but I am A-000.001-M1, the leader of the Amphibibot Collective," A-000.001 introduced itself.
"Anyway, moving on to the main subject, we have discovered that, in our coding, we found a string of text that reads 'Created by Miperiors', as well as progammed coordinates. When we tracked those co-ordinates, they led into your homeworld. Due to curiosity, we decided to contact." it said.

Gmfk slammed down the hold button. "It couldn't be an Amphibibot," he mumbled.
"Sir, we've done voice scans and we've checked the signal. It had to be them," said the official.
Gmfk, curiously, let go of the hold button. "So... it really is you... where... how have you been doing? What's happened with you... how did you survive the... accident?" mumbled Gmfk.

"We're not sure how we survived the crash, but we presume the rear part of the ship suffered less impact as it is sticking out of the soil." The Emperor replied.
"The crash forced our systems to activate. We then started building a society with relatively no issues, though we only managed to do this due to built-in AI within the spaceship that was sent into our progam coding. I recieved leader AI, while all other Amphibibots recieved worker drone AI." he continued.
"Afterwards, to increase our population, we started reverse-engineering our structure, and proceeded to create new makes of Amphibibots, each going up to 300000 models. Each make would be assigned to something special." the Emperor said.
"For example, Make 1 and 2 Amphibibots are standard drones. Make 3 and 4 Amphibibots are military drones. 3/4 of Make 5 Amphibibots are Spaceship pilots, the remaining are standard drones. Make 6 Amphibibots are communitary servicing drones. Each Make recieves more parts and abilitiies to aid them." it added.
"However, we value older Makes, so, to prevent them becomming obsolete, we also install those parts from newer Makes on older Makes. It's optional, though, so Amphibibots who feel like conserving their old body can avoid installing those new abilities." it said.

"Well... yes, it does appear as if you are the infamous Amphibibots," continued Gmfk. "Oh, we don't mean that in a bad way, but in itself the project was mainly a streak of unlikely events leading up to disaster."
Gmfk motioned for the officials to pull up the Amphibibot plans. They did so.
"Allow me to explain... you were created as a race of sentient machines who could, well, be whatever someone wanted them to be - a friend, assistant, worker, who knows? Everything was going exactly according to plan, when the shipload of the current Amphibibots veered off course and were never heard from again."
Gmfk continued, "We weren't quite sure what to do next, so we designed similar robots who did end up being commercially successful. I'm sorry, I am probably saying this too fast... your original creator is still alive, would you like to speak to him? Perhaps he could explain everything you need to know."

"Oh, I see..." The Emperor replied as he simulated a nod. "Yes, I'd like to speak to the creator."

"Alright, give me a second..." Gmfk hit a few buttons, and about a minute later a Miperian by the name of Gem ran into the building. Once he saw 'Speaking to: A-000.001-M1' on the screen, he ran to the console and immediately said, "H-h...hello... old friend."

"Greetings. We have been informed you're our creator." The Emperor replied.

"Ah, yes..." said Gem, "Shame too. Nobody wanted that project to succeed more than I did... but, I see you've made your own civilization. And you've done better than we have in less than half the time!" Gmfk glared at Gem, but he didn't mind. "Anyways, I do happen to have all sorts of plans and models about your species... I can imagine how that kind of information would be useful to you. We'll send a ship as soon as we can over there, if that's alright."

"If it's useful to us, then feel free to send the ships." The Emperor replied.

Gmfk jumped in. "Alright then, we'll send some over. We'd ask you if you wanted to be taken under our wing again, but frankly, you seem like you've done a very good job taking care of yourselves. So we ask for a close alliance - if we can work together, we could become a much stronger force than if we were independent."
He continued, "We have all sorts of information that would likely be useful to your kind. We're also curious to know what technologies you've developed. This will be of our mutual benefit."

"As much as we respect you for inventing us, we would like to still be an indpendent Collective. Request denied. We can still be Allies, though." A-000001-M1 replied.
"And a fun fact about our technology is that we don't 'use' weapons for combat. We *are* the weapons. Make 3 and 4 Amphibibots by default are manufactured with weapons built in them, such as a left hand that tranforms into a plasma-firing minigun, a right hand that tranforms into a missile launcher, and feet that tranforms into hover packs." the Emperor explained.
"As you see, my left hand has a toxic crystal infused with it. Normally, it's useless against Amphibibots as we're not organic, therefore nullifying the poison effect. But against organics and even cyborgs or half-robots, it can be devasting as they will suffer continuous damage over time." he continued.
"But we have a weapon that might be useful for you - the legendary Icy Band," the Emperor said as he showed his right arm, possessing a band. "It is able to cover enemies in ice and making them unable to move until they manage to break themselves from the ice. And it's not an implant, so it can work without any problems on any species. As long as they have a place to wear the band, obviously." he added.

"That would be incredibly useful to us," said Gmfk, silently cursing himself for not having thought of an ice machine first. "But I believe you misunderstood me. I was not asking you if you wished to rejoin us - we built you to be smarter than that," he chuckled. "I mean that, if we could form a close alliance, both of us could be a force to be reckoned with. We are essentially next to each other, this helps us cut down on trade route time, make attack coordination infinitely easier and we can defend each other properly."
"We wish," continued Gmfk, "that we could join in alliance - there are many frightful empires in this sector, but by working closely together, we could use all of our aspects for the betterment of both of our empires."

"Well, a close alliance would be fine." The Emperor replied.

"Great, then. We'll send our trade ships as soon as we can. We have all kinds of information about your kind you might find useful, so we'll send that over you. Anyways, the Icy Band technology does seem fairly useful," said Gmfk, "so I'd say we can both benefit from this."
