December 31, 2794Two years since the conquest of Miperiors, the landscape of Miperia remained relatively the same. Life, strangely, proceeded almost as normal with the same officials in power and many of the same laws in place, completely separate from the Tarkan world. The major difference could be found buried in the largest mountain chain of the planet. There, Abanan had erected his court. It was a large jagged keep, walled off from the rest of the valley it was nested in, built from the stone and rock that surrounded it. Platforms had been built outside the walls to welcome courtiers, and forced them to walk up the narrow path to the palace gate. Today, as the levies of the realm of Miperiors circled around in orbit, their lords had gathered to feast. And anywhere there was a gathering of the lords of the realm, there was bound to be a fight. And where there was bound to be a fight, Abanan was bound to be in the middle of it. The center of the banquet hall had been cleared to make room for the two combatants, Abanan and the insolent son of Beyvik Jaas, a lad by the name of Ubat. Nobody really knew what had been said, but they had all seen Abanan, cheeks flushed with drink and anger, rise from his seat and shatter his glass before him in a flurry of curses. The lad was well bred, Abanan had to give him that. Despite his youth, he had broad shoulders and a thick build that gave him the appearance of a giant, even by Tarkan standards. Abanan had had his eyes on him the moment he walked into the banquet hall, and now relished the thought of defeating him before the whole court. The Tarkan courtiers had packed themselves in a tight circle around them and had already begun to yell. They were to fight unarmed and had stripped down to their breeches. Abanan's Miperian green cloak rested on the floor behind him. As he had expected, the giant opened the brawl by charging forward, his arms outstretched. Abanan dove out of the way of the lumbering mass at the last second, watching it as it tumbled into the crowd and knocked a good amount of his courtiers to the ground. A general laughter erupted, and it rose into hysteria when it was realized that Ubat was having trouble untangling himself from the people he was crushing. Abanan took the opportunity to add insult to injury, and cavorted mockingly from one end of the circle to another, fueling the hysteria even more. Then, he heard the crowd take in a sharp breath. Several eyes widened. Abanan whirled around to meet his opponent, but was too late. A fist the size of a mountain came crashing into his jaw. The next thing he knew, the Graf Beyvik of Miperiors found himself on the floor, being assailed by a flurry of kicks. He scrambled to get up, but his mind––muddled by food and drink––could not decide which way was up. In a last ditch effort to save himself, Abanan began to lash out with his own feet. Twice, he thought he had found his assailant's shin, but there was no respite in the blows that were raining on him. His every square inch of muscle and bone seared with pain. His vision flashed red and black. Any more of this, and Abanan knew he was going to pass out. Suddenly, his foot found something that did not feel like muscle. The blows stopped. Abanan scrambled to his feet. Before him, Ubat has fallen to his knees, his every feature contorted with agony, his enormous hands clasped around that spot between his legs. Abanan moved forward, and with every once of his remaining strength, delivered a crippling blow to the temple that left his opponent unconscious on the ground. There was shocked silence for several instants before someone began counting. "One… Two… Three…" Abanan could barely keep himself standing as they he numbered the seconds with them. Any moment, the giant could stir, get back up, and finish him. Abanan would have no reply as he drew back his arm... "Four…" the crowd had joined in by this point, and the count grew ever louder. "Five… SIX!" Those in attendance bellowed loudly at their king's victory. Abanan spat thick black blood and, with bellowing laughter, ordered that the festivities resume. The saying was true. It was good to be king.

The Amphibibot of Planet 001 maybe were feeling the rule of the Tarkans with their metallic hearths without enough much hate and dread, as the new Beyvik, Ardir Kogac, the sinister ruler of that section of the Grand Empire space, has decided to avoid as much as possible the future revolution. The only thing that had changed was that the Beyvik was forcing the inhabitant of the planet to build as much ships as possible, enforcing the development of new unusual technologies and the research of new horizons of their science. And, of course, the new scenery of a huge amphitheater that stood proud, on top of a mountain, where every day, at any time you heard screams and cheers, along with laughter and gossip. There, Ardir Kogac, Beyvik of Sudol, had built his palace, or what would be that monstrous structure.
There, Ardir celebrated feasts and battle exhibitions of his most powerful, yet not most intelligent, soldiers, where they fought until fell in exhaustion or fell dead. Aradir's courtiers enjoyed meals and exotic drinks, as they felt the passion of the fight and held talks among themselves, some interesting, some dangerous, others only trivial. Maybe, if they would not so immersed in the fun, they could see certain things which did not fit with the scheme presented by their lord. They might have noticed that Ardir did not appear very commonly at the banquets, and he rarely fought in person. They'd have noticed that, only that the Beyvik had predicted so, and always had a logical alibi, which usually included some urgent business, rotten food or female Tarkan.
The exotic fruits and drinks, the blood and passion, the cheers and laughs, everything, was just a small part of his plot. Aradir used it as a facade, as a way to keep the rumors and gossip controlled, as a way to ensure that the other nobles of the Empire did not see him as an unusual Beyvik, he wanted to be seen as a common leader, who enjoyed his day in luxury. But he was Ardir Kogac, and something so trivial was not part of their agenda.
Hundreds of meters beneath the huge amphitheater, a Tarkan dressed in a dark cloak, leaving the shadows his face, sat on a throne of black metal, finely decorated, while watching the information displayed on the screen of his Planning Room, where his most important associates, machiavellian geniuses of the empire, gave their reports as they knelt before him.
"All right" said the Lord in a whisper, very strange coming from the huge and rough face of a Tarkan "Everything is going as predicted"
The servant got up from the floor and withdrew bowing every few steps. The Beyvik was alone in his Planning Room.
Ardir got up from his throne and coughed, it was pretty difficult to talk in such low voice with his vocal cords. He walked from one side to the other of the room once... twice... a third time, thinking in his next move.
As he expected, the KSA will attack the Empire soon, very soon. As he expected, they will launch a massive attack with the full strength of their Delcath forces plus a small force of some thousands of Drodoian ships and some help of the FPC. As he expected, the situation wasn't favorable for him, so he had to act quickly and with precaution.
One of his guards knocked the door, he returned to his throne and returned to his guise of Dark Lord, whispering, cold and deadly.
"Come in, I was expecting you"

Viran stood up and walked over to the table once again; "What if..." She extended her arm, almost grabbing a tranparent cube, representing a fleet, before retracting it back as if she had touched a thorn bush. "No. Stupid idea." She thought aloud. She stepped around the holotable, examining it. She rested a hand on the table and sighed; "This must be perfect, or else its my ass on the line..." She stared at the holotable for a few minutes, letting abstract thoughts and tactical considerations run through her mind but not really exploring those thoughts any further. She sat idle, she didn't want or like to sit idle, but she couldn't help herself to do anything else; tiredness was starting to get to her. A sudden sound reached her antennae, making them perk up and the rest of her body soon after. Grateful for the interruption, she turned around to see what it was, and saw her computer, the only other light in the room, had a window open. Viran marched over to her computer and bent over it, grabbing a hold of the mouse instictively and seeing what it was. The window read "Incoming message". She sighed, and straightened out her hair and walked over to pick up her cap, which was lying on a nearby counter. She answered the call; "Fleet Captain Viran here." The tiredness in her voice was evident. "Ah, there you are commander." It was one of her second-in-commands. She was about to open her mouth when he continued; "I was just sending this transmission to inform you that the Fleet is ready to go on your command." She nodded; "So much for sleep." She thought. "Good. Tell the fleet to start final takeoff procedures, I'll be there shortly." Viran responded aloud. She closed the window on her computer, straightened out her uniform, and went off to once again go on campaign.

January 1, 2795In orbit of Miperiors, Abanan's fleet was finally assembled. At its head was the Eldarar, Abanan's flagship, an expensive heavy ship of the line. Aboard it, the vassals had convened around a jagged oval table in the war room. Surprisingly, not one representative from the families of Miperiors was missing. Well, everyone except the Graf Beyvik himself. After they had waited for nearly an hour for his appearance, Larin Kcrus had been sent for him. The Master at arms of Miperiors, slimmer than would be considered normal for a Tarkan and dressed in leather rather than mail, was not pleased. He turned the last corner in the corridor leading to the Graf Beyvik's chambers and found himself face to face with one of Abanan's blood guard. "The Graf Beyvik is in his chambers and does not wish to be disturbed," the guardsman said, eyeing Kcrus warily. It was well known to Larin that nearly everyone in Abanan's household distrusted him. "The war council is waiting upon his majesty. I have been sent to fetch him." The guard was obviously not going to move. Larin's frustration grew. "You will stand aside for the Graf Beyvik's Master at Arms," he snarled. "Or I will inform Abanan of your disobedience and that will be the end of you." Larin did not know what to find more infuriating, the fact that the soldier actually stood aside, or his sneer as he did so. As he stepped up to the portal, the door slid open by itself. He was admitted into a large dark room that was sparsely furnished. On the walls, Larin could make out the gleam of swords, axes, and hammers hanging on the walls. In the center was a single large bed, and there were two figures in it. He made out Abanan and his thick shoulders, but he could not tell who the other slimmer shape was. As light fell on him, Abanan groaned and moodily turned over to face him. "Oh, it's you. Go away." Larin was undaunted. "It is fifteen hundred hours, my lord. The war council has gathered and has been waiting for you for over an hour." Abanan growled turned back over. "To hell with the war council," he muttered. "I must insist. The host has gathered, and our scouts have it that the allies are preparing their attack soon." The Graf Beyvik stirred, "Damn you and your war..." With obvious reluctance and some amount of pain, he slowly rose into a seated position. He bore many bruises and scabbing wounds from last night's combat, and, given the sheer amount of drink he had had afterwards, was probably under assault by a head-splitting headache. The female Tarkan had blinked awake by this point and looked at Larin rather stupidly. Who was she? As he gazed back, Larin recognized the rather distinctive eyes of Werlt Ferr, the third daughter of Irike Garn Ferr. She had obviously risen since Larin had last bedded her. Yes, she had allowed him, a legitimized Kcrus bastard, into her bed in exchange for an introduction to the Graf Beyvik. Had he known that this would be the end result, he never would have done it. Larin kept his revulsion to himself. Within fifteen minutes, Abanan had managed to dress himself. He made a lethargic appearance at the council and later left the bridge to Larin with instructions to prepare the fleet for warp. They were to rendezvous with Kogac's forces in what used to be the Amphibibot Collective a day later. As always, Larin did what he was told.

"My Lord..." the deep voice of the guard sounded nervous from the dark door that allowed access to the private room of the flagship of the Beyvik of Sudol "My Lord, someone ask for an audience with you."
Ardir Kogac looked over his shoulder at the door. The guard could see the cold expression under the dark cloak and shivered. The Lord was looking a huge screen where information appeared and vanished in a blink, drawings of ships, battle maps, folders with the word "classified", images of planets and aliens that the guard did not recognize. The Tarkan realized that these data were the information stoled from somewhere by his Lord and will be used as secret weapon to destroy the enemy in the incoming war. It was smarter not ask further questions.
"You know that I don't like to be bothered when I am in my private room, Kliar" whispered the Beyvik in a dangerously high voice.
Even in the dark of the room, Ardir saw how his servant's skin became paler.
"But my Lord, is Yasela..."
Ardir smiled slightly. The guard felt even more scared with that smile.
"Let her come" said Ardir in an even quieter whisper.
The guard bowed and left. In seconds a female Tarkan entered in the room, she was thin, almost frail, and was dressed in a light tunic, long to the ankles. Strangly for a Tarkan, Ardir thought that she was pretty, or at least that was what he told her. Yasela Linkard had learned to not ask if something was true or not, with Ardir Kogac nobody could tell if something was true or false.
"Welcome dear Yasela" said Ardir not in a whisper, but in his normal voice.
The woman was proud of being one of the two living beings in the whole universe who had listened his true voice. Yasela was one of the smarter and deadly intelligent Tarkan during her youth, but she wasn't strong enough to complete her training and she ended rejected from the empire. Then Ardir saved her, he accepted her into a small "organization of interesting people" where she could develop her capabilities in areas that most of the Tarkans couldn't understand.
From then she became his more loyal servant, she owed him her life, from then he was the owner of her soul and her hearth.
"My Lord..." started to say the woman "I wanted to advice you..."
"Don't say foolishness my dear" said the Beyvik with amusement in his voice "Remember that I had predicted everything what is happening"
The female Tarkan twisted her face in a expression of desperation. Ardir laughed sardonically and approach to a little table, where a glass cup with some alcoholic drink laid.
"But, my Lord" said the woman carefully "the Drodo Empire has stronger ships, and they will overcome us in number if they destroy some of our ships"
She couldn't see his expression under the cloak but for some reason she thought that he was smiling.
"Their ships have a great defect, dear Yasela" said Ardir as he took the cup "A defect that I will use for advantage"
"Also" said the Lord with amusement "Their leader is weak, some of pressure..."
Ardir broke the glass with his bare hands "...and will break"
"So this is your plan, my Lord" said the woman in a whisper "You will destroy her mind..."
"Of course that this is not my plan" laughed Ardir "I am not so stupid to tell my complete plan to anyone."
A strange and expectant silence fell over them. Some minutes then Ardir talked, this time in a whisper.
"Do you know the problem of being so manipulative and smart, dear Yasela?"
The woman gulped. She knew.
"Is stressful..."
"Yes, exactly" said with an almost sad smile.
The woman sighed and pressed a silver button on the strap of her gown, the thin cloth strip tore and the dress fell to the floor. The Beyvik saw her body with a little smile.
"You learn fast, my dear, very fast"
A tear almost scape from her eyes. She knows that this was his way to show her that he loves her, no, that was what he wanted her to think.
However, he was rude when he was stressed.

Viran stood up as her ship came emerged from hyperspace. "We're within Tarkan territory, Commander." A crewman somewhere on the bridge reported. She nodded, and looked to either side of the large transparent synthglass* panels. The rest of the fleet was visible to either side, in flawless formation. A spread-out line of gleaming grey and yellow extended out for many hundreds of miles as the fleet stood in a loose line formation, awaiting her orders. "The fleet's ready, commander. What are your commands?" Viran's first officer; Ferrak, asked. Viran nodded. Sitting down, she bit her lower lip. She knew the plan was well-thought out, and she also knew that if everyone else followed the plan, the execution should be fine. But in her career she had learnt that all plans come down to chance. And it was chance and chance alone that worried her. "Are you okay Commander?" Ferrak asked, concerned. No answer. "Viran?" He said again. She at last nodded; "Yes. I'm fine. Just... Thinking." Along her career she has also learnt that last-minute doubt is useless; There is no turning back or changing the plan now. She stood up; "This is Fleet Captain Viran; All ships prepare for the second jump." Her plan was to reinforce the main allied fleet by surprising the Tarkan fleet with the superior speed of Hyperspace drives. If everything goes without a hitch, it could be the KSA; And the Empire; that walks away victorious. "All ships are reporting ready for second jump." The same crewman from before reported. "Alright." Viran responded evenly. She motioned to the comms officer, he opened a channel to the fleet; "All ships, prepare the jump for lightspeed on my mark."

Step. Step. Step. The sound of his shoes against the ship rang throughout the open hallways, built in such a way that it supported acoustics like a warm sweater in the cold. This simple act of moving and near silence brought a serene peace to the commander. For him, it was a way to clear his mind- To, analyze every thought in his head as if prying apart strands of hair. Yet, even as he did his most recent memory came flooding in spreading a warm smile across his face- As if, tasting something sweet that he had not expected. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The KSA host had gathered; ten-thousand strong, when a small host of fifty or so ships warped in. The KSA commander stared at the ships, his eyes narrowing especially as he saw the peculiar one leading the pack. Opening a communication channel, he queried their leader. Oh, the look on his face. “Is, this a joke?” Sputtered the man. He could only smile, “Why, not at all.” He replied in a soft tone, barely audible. “I am to be leading this grand host.” “But, -you-? Have we surrendered?” Asked the veteran, his face genuinely concerned. He could only cock his head, “No.” He almost whispered, “We will fight until the end.” ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ He grinned slightly, the memory was a fond one. Baccus, one of his two bodyguards, looked over towards him, “Sir, are you well?” The bear of a man asked, his face genuinely concerned as they had stopped walking as he reminisced. He only shook his head, “It is nothing. Nerves, I suppose.” He replied with a smile. He had lied. In truth, he had never been this calm. Stopping at a cross in the hallway, he turned to his other guard. Inhaling sharply, he leaned over to speak, “Cerberus, I’d like you to inform special operations that the job begins as soon as we arrive.” Cerberus bowed toward him, a strange motion for such an intimidating man to do towards someone like him. He smiled, his already tight clothing hanging off of his almost sickly frame, “Thank you.” He said, as the man ran off. Continuing down a hallway, he heard the door infront of him open. Taking a few steps forward, he took a stand at his commander’s chair, “Baccus, open a channel to the Drodo forces. I will speak to their commander.” ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Planet-001 was buzzing with activity this evening. Looking up to the skies, it was clear that things were about to change. The message the Amphibibot spies had been given had been clear: Make the plan happen when the sky turned to fire. The amphibibot looked the sky. “OPTICAL SETTINGS: Optimal. LIGHTING CONDITION: Realized.” Heard the machine, the voice in his head confirming what he was seeing. Wheeling around, the spy wandered over to a large button in the middle of the room. Looking to his comrades he began to load a program. <LIBERATION.EXE – RUN> <CHECKING FOR AVAILABLE PATCH> <. . .> <LOADED. False “REVOLUTION IS ABOUT TO OCCUR”> The Amphibibot shook his head and changed the string of code. <ACKNOWLEDGED. TRUE “REVOLUTION IS ABOUT TO OCCUR”> <LOADING: “LIGHT.FEELING.OF.GUILT”, “NATIONAL.PRIDE” and “YAY” PACKETS> <LOAD COMPLETE> The Amphibibot moved to slam his hand down onto the button, “FOR LIBERATION. FOR FREEDOM. FOR THE AMPHIBIBOT COLLECTIVE.” The spy cheered as somewhere in the distance, a bomb detonated with the intent of causing chaos and killing or wounding as many people as possible- Not to mention, generally making life difficult for the Tarkans. Where was this bomb? Right in the middle of the Tarkan barracks. Preparations.EXE was a very efficient program. Sitting there in the silence, light upbeat music began playing out of one of the Amphibibots. They had never heard it before. It was a piano. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ He smiled, looking at the Drodo commander. “As discussed, the plan will work. I’ve set in motion a few surprises. We will liberate the planet and shatter their forces like a storm to a field of roses.” He said, his voice whimsical and soft despite the things that he spoke of. The Drodo commander had likely given him strange looks. He didn’t blame him. He didn’t blame anyone who looked at him in that way. He could only smile. Yes, Kage (Kaw-gay) Senzo smiled, for that is what he was best at. Yet, he had no idea what it looked like. Kage Senzo, was blind. Kage stood tall, but slim. Painfully so. The clothes he wore hung off of his lank and pale body. He resembled a long disembodied ghost- A peaceful spirit of times gone by, all made stranger by the patterned bandages across his eyes. He was one of the Nakeimato empire, yet, he was definitely not a Nakeimato. He couldn’t be farther from. His race was a limited one created by the Nakeimato, and subsequently abandoned when defects became apparent. He was a marvel among his already sterile and doomed race. His stark white hair hung loosely off of his head, messily put as if he had not a care in the world about it. Once the conversation was ended, the channel was closed and he sat down in his chair. They were nearing their destination. Pressing a button, he and Baccus were raised atleast ten feet in the air. The Enigma, was a ship built especially for him and this was why. Its bridge was an overly large circle with high vaulted ceilings. His platform rose into the center where the table infront of him opened into a piano. Reaching forward, he brushed his fingers along the familiar keys. Finally, it could begin. Slowly, he began to play.Kage, was not a born leader. He was not charismatic. He was not strong of voice. He was not a tactical genius even. All that he had, was music. His connection to people, his way of voicing his emotions was through this piano. When he played, he did not play: He projected his will to everyone that heard it. His tempo began to increase as the song became more confident, more upbeat, the sounds echoing throughout the Enigma and most of his fleet. They dropped out of transwarp. The Tarkans had no way of knowing they were coming. The Tarkans were unprepared. Frankly, the Tarkans were simply not ready. The KSA-Drodo fleet, would take them by surprise. Instantly, the layout of the battlefield was projected around Kage- A lonely star amid this sea of images. He could see the strategies before him and Baccus began to voice his plan likely just as Drodo jumped out of hyperspace aswell. His forces quickly bridged the gap between themselves and the Tarkan forces, entering their distinct formation and subsequently opening fire on the Tarkans just as his music began to reach a high point. All the while, his transport ships that had come out of warp legitimately touching the planet’s atmosphere, had sped towards the capital loaded with troops of the highest caliber. All the while, the KSA jammed Tarkan communications. But, not in the traditional way. No, his music was piped through every last communication line they jammed. No matter where the Tarkans turned, they would feel Kage’s presence- His person would be omniscient. His being powerful through the art that he created. Smiling, he tilted his head to the sky and whispered his words to the worlds above. “Grand Tarkan Empire. Today, good will proves that even a jaded mandarin can topple your rule.” Reaching his hand up, he opened it to the skies. “Let us partake in this dance, my destined opponent.”

"As I said before," Larin was saying, "I don't believe the alliance will remain idle up here..." "Oh, shut your mouth, black boy!" yelled Beyvik Kargron. Nicknamed the Greatgron, he was a bear of a Tarkan--thick, muscular, imposing, and certainly dangerous. His grandmother was a Jass, which might explain his impressive stature. "You want us to wait here the entire war while others get all the fighting?!" Larin took the abuse without flinching. "Miperiors is what they want. If they're going to--" "I said, SHUT YOUR MOUTH!" The Greatgron slammed his fist against the table. "That's ENOUGH." Silence. All eyes went to the head of the circular table, where Abanan was cupping his forehead in his hands. "Listen to me, you two." He let his hands drop and eyed both Larin and Kargron in turn. "We've been going at this for days." His eyes shifted to the Greatgron. His tone was forceful as he spoke. "Kargron, it is well known that you would rather attack the Farengeto than sit here. I tend to agree. But our scouts have told us that there are Alliance forces massing at Farengeto, and until we know what they're going to do, we can't move. There, I've said it. I will have no more arguing about this, do you all understand?" Murmurs of "Yes, Graf Beyvik" came faintly from all sides. The Greatgron said nothing. "And no more war councils..." Abanan muttered under his breath. "Dismissed!" They all filed out, one by one, until only Kargron was left in his seat. His fingers were curled over one another tightly on the table, his face firm with repressed anger. Abanan sighed and waved the guards that stood at the doorway of the council room. When the portal closed behind them, Korgron looked to his king. "Damnit, why did you defend him!" He said with a tone of intense reproach. "He's not my enemy." Abanan replied coolly. "He might as well be. They're all cowards, him and every other Kcrus. Everyone knows they're no friends to the crown. First sign of trouble, they'll turn their coats. Trust me on that one." Abanan leaned his elbows against the table. He was sick of all of this; politics, intrigue, disputes, petty rivalries. Sure, he had some of his own, but this was simply ridiculous. "Look, you know I don't like him any more than you do." The Greatgron scoffed. "You know why he's here. His father wanted to drive home the point that he still owns our asses. I don't like it, you don't like it, nobody likes having a Kcrus bastard around, but it was the only way to appease him. And that's the end of the matter." Beyvik Kargron stood and walked out of the room without another word.

Ardir smiled falsely. He wasn't quiet, everyone knew that war was coming, and he had anticipated, anticipated long ago. But Ardir could not tell anyone, he was surrounded by idiots, even Yasela could not understand his paranoia, no one could, everyone thought it was a waste of energy, the amount of guards, daily workouts in case of attack, it was all part of his plan, part of his fear of being defeated. But today he needed to be seen quiet, to be seen confident, and the banquet was the perfect solution, a way to make his commanders happy and relaxed for once.
A terrifying scream, Ardir turned his head toward the source of the painful sound as a chill attacked his spine. A roar of victory, a cheer from the crowd, the battle had ended. Was the defeated alive? It didn't matter. The people were enjoying, weren't aware of their Beyvik's fear, were relaxed. That was a problem.
"What if they come now? " thought Ardir. No, the possibilities were too low. They hadn't ships faster enough, and the Drodo's vessels used hyperspace, and he could just defeat them using his numerical advantage. Also, most of the ships were moving toward Etzan fleet. There were nothing to worry about. But, if there was nothing... Why did he feel so worried? Maybe his paranoia were too far. Yes that might be, there was nothing to worry about. And was then, when he really tried to enjoy his own feast, when the hell started. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Agent 14-50, here command post" said the communication technician through the communicator "There is a code 26 yellow on the area alpha-tau" The Agent 14-50, truly called Olekai, although nobody remembered it, even to him had started to being difficult remember it, sighed. Other false alarm. 26 Yellow, other words to "Something unusual", but anyway, it gift him something to scape from the boredom. He envied Yasela, the favorite of his Lord, sometimes he wished that the Beyvik of Sudol would be a female, so he could be her personal slave, that would be at least funnier than a stupid secret guard. The area alpha-tau was just a stupid hall, blank walls, empty. "Agent 14-50 to command post, the area is clear" said to the communicator. "Alright" replied the technician "Wait... Look again, reviews the different radiations" Olekai sighed again and took the light filterer. Visible light, nothing. Ultraviolet, nothing. Infrared... an Amphibibot walking toward him muttering something with his metallic voice. "C-Co-Command post?" asked faintly the agent "Listening" "Objective found" -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The dinning room of the flagship was almost empty, most of the people was on their battle post, training. But the two recruits were not. They were too busy eating and cursing their Beyvik. "So, the commanders are feasting with battles, women and exotic food while we are here, in this hole" said one as he took another bite to his insipid piece of meat. "Yep, and with all of these morons who really think that we are going to be attacked today" said the second one nodding "What do you think that is on our Beyvik now?" The other shrugged. "He is a paranoid, that is the only explanation" Far away of them, the fleet was disorganized, in low alert. But Ardir made them train the formation everyday, kept awake, because the enemy would attack them as a thief, exactly when they had the guard down. Most of them kept awake, alert, while others just were awaiting the direct orders. Even farther away the small squad of light ships kept the formation, invisible to radars. "All the systems ready" said the mechanical voice "Awaiting the possibility of enemies."

"Five... Four... Three... Two... One..." "NOW!" Viran shouted. It was then, with a great groan and a violent lurch forward the ship ripped itself out of hyperspace so violently and suddenly she felt as though she was turned inside-out. By the time she looked back up, having a grip on the arm of her command-chair and her attack of vertigo subsiding, Tarkan line ships where being fired-upon, blast after blast of green turbolaser blast bashing against the hulls of Tarkan ships. The Tarkan fleet, not knowing what to do, was in disarray. She nodded slightly, smiling. The plan, at least so far, has worked; the plan being that the Drodo fleet would make a sphere around the fleet and blast away at it; moving closer and closer into the Tarkan fleet; tightening the sphere.

A shout, a number of disjointed orders, chaos, amusement of the bastard gods of destiny and randomness. That was what Kirane's mind was thinking as she observed in paralyzed astonishment how the Drodo's ships opened fire to the thick hulls of the Empire line vessels, her compound of more than five hundred bulky and frightening powerful line ships was quickly falling apart with the enemy's power. She wasn't stupid, she knew that something like this would happen, but she didn't thought that the KSA would attack in that precise moment, when their Lord was in the planet with his better commanders, the gods would be very, very amused. Kirane quickly tried to remember the emergency orders that the Beyvik of Sudol had given them, she was the higher in command now that most of the officials where drunken in the banquet that Ardir Kogac was celebrating, so she must, no, she has to take the control of the fleet untikl the Beyvik would take the charge again.
"All the units of the glorious Grand Tarkan Empire, here the commander Kirane, we are under attack! Repeat, we are under attack of the KSA!" she shout through the communicator "Execute the Emergency Order Number 8, now!"
The ships were too disorganized to try to fight back, but they could escape to the security of warp and prepare the formation there, where the Drodo's battleships couldn't touch them. Suddenly Kirane realized that the Drodo wouldn't attack alone, their number were too tiny to try to attack without reinforcements, no, the KSA has to bring more ships, and that ships would be organized, prepared to fight and, above all, able to fight in warp.
"Shit!" she said turning off the communicator "They will be here in minutes, perhaps less, we have to reorganize our forces now!"
The other ships' captains prepared warp drive as fast as possible, that weren't enough. At least a dozen, perhaps more line ships exploded in quiet fire. In a few seconds the other compounds of ships were preparing warp as well.
In the deep of the warp Kirane looked the radar and saw that only three of the closer compound have jumped into warp with her. She took the communicator, shouted and this time expect the answer. Nothing.
"Communication interference?" she whispered "That is not fair..."
But she wasn't too worried, Lord Kogac had expected that and gave her and other two of the most dedicated captains non-orthodox communicators. She hasn't any idea of how the strange silver devices worked, but the hyperspace or warp technology couldn't block it, she knew that Lord Ardir couldn't develop it, he probably got it with another ways.
"Commander Bashan, Commander Ricath" she said to the small silver artifact "Here commander Kirane, we are under attack!"
The voice of the commander Bashan, who was in charge of the compounds of light and medium ships in the opposite location of the planet, sounded clear through the communicator.
"Yes, the KSA ships are attacking us!" said the commander "They are at least 10,000 and are jamming our communications!"
Kirane understood the situation. The KSA main fleet attacked them from distance and disturbed their communications, as most of the military leaders were relaxing she didn't found strange that the other ships didn't send the regular status inform. Then the Drodo attacked the most important battleships to force them to jump into the warp, disorganizing even more the fleet. But they didn't know about Lord Kogac's communicators.
"Ok, everybody!" she shouted to her crew "We have to talk with the other ships in the area, so find a way to recover communication! The other captains are not stupid, so let's hope that if we move toward Bashan they will follow us"
The henchmen understood the indirect and led the battleship toward Bashan location. As planned, the other compound moves as well. The 1,500 ships started their way toward the desolation.
"Ricath! I hope that you are moving toward Bashan as well" she said to the communicator.
"Yes" replied Ricath voice "There are not enemies in sight, I am jumping into warp in fifty seconds"
"Excellent, let's hope that it is not too late"
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Observation: The Master was right" the metallic voice said.
"Agreed, the Master's K-plan would work in this situation" said another equally robotic voice.
"Hypothesis: The K-plan will be the Master's choice as action plan"
"Analyzing... That is probable, however the Master's orders were wait and see..."
"Until he order the contrary..."
"And so will be done" said the two voices at unison.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The banquet was going as planned. People happy, stupid soldiers that one couldn't imagine how they survived the training were dangerously wounded by the good pawns that yes could kill a few dozens of enemies before die, the commanders were relaxing as their morale rose, everything according to the planned. The exotic drinks quickly disappeared once the guests had it on their fancy crystal glasses, the men and women were flirting and chatting, everything according to the planned.
But Ardir wasn't relaxed, or happy, or with the morale high, he suddenly felt a chill in his spine. No, it wouldn't be anything, it couldn't be anything, he was too paranoiac.
Suddenly one of Ardir's throne guards approached to the Beyvik ear.
"My Lord, it is needed your presence in the control room" said with his raspy voice.
Ardir's chill became stronger.
"What level?" he asked in a whisper.
"Minus Thirty" replied the guard even quieter.
"Alright, you are my escort now" said Ardir as he got up from his throne "Come on! Move!"
Ardir Kogac didn't give an explanation to his guests, he just departed toward the elevator with the hearth beating unhealthy fast. For once, being a paranoiac was useful.

Kage Senzo maintained had the uncanny ability to maintain his disposition even in times of great stress. Yes, even as the world spun around him –chaos quite literally erupting from every corner of the bridge below him- he played the melancholy tune of their madness. Even as he commanded them, it was as if he himself was detached from his own side. The battlefield itself was distant from him, miles upon miles away. Yet, he could see it all. Every little detail was present in his mind’s eye. It was as if he was a lone god sitting above a great battle- a being with the ability to alter the course of a nation with the twist of a finger. It brought a chuckle to his lips. That was –exactly- what he was doing. Albeit, on a much smaller and less sure scale. A part of him was sure the Aeoneonatrixian Cleanser would be proud. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ <THEY.FOUND.ME.EXE> “Initialized. Preparing appropriate response.” Putting up a hand, the Amphibibot motioned for the world to stop for a moment. Looking up, its eyes flashed. “Decision reached. Argument, affirmative.” <LOADING: “PLAN.B”> <REVOLUTION.B.EXE – RUN> <ACKNOWLEDGED. TRUE “INITIAL PROGRAM SUCESSFUL”> <PREPARING-ACCURATE-RESPONSE> <LOADING: “SWIFT.RETRIUBTION”, “AMPHIBIBOT.PRIDE”, “LAST.WILL.AND.TESTAMENT.PNG” and “YEEHAW” PACKETS> <LOAD COMPLETE> <HAVE A NICE DAY> The Amphibibot began to broadcast somber music throughout the hall. It came from a far off planet, but through the use of translators it was very impactful. The Amphibibot would personally give it an eight out of ten, but that was just his <CRITICISM.EXE> patch. (The Song)Taking a stroll throughout his target he swayed his head as the song played. Then, he exploded. The flames and blast travelled as far and fast as his last broadcast of song. Somewhere on planet 001, an Amphibibot sprang a leak in <her> optical socket. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Commander C’har Nage loved the smell of retribution in the morning. His orders were crystal clear and he went over them in his head as the locust-swarm of transport ships surgically deployed the instant the KSA arrived towards the palace- Ooh, an explosion? He squinted his eyes to observe as fire and raw power that a good old bombing had to offer. He also could’ve sworn he heard a song over the communications channel, but he was probably just over excited. Grasping his assault rifle his transporter came close to a window, “Off and away lads!” He yelled, leaping through the window, attached to a rope harness. Behind him, the gunships were firing devastatingly onto the defenders below using a shoot-first, think-later mentality. -CRASH- As he leapt in, swarms of KSA marines attempted to transport into the palace via materialization, windows, breaking and entering, and such strange things as the “front door”. This plan had been created beautifully using detailed groundwork of the palace provided to them by spies. It was nice to have a map. The marines would swarm in as commanded, kill as many as they could and converge on the throne room in a move that would bring the word “Lightning War” into its truest meaning. All of it was penned by their Nakeimoto Commander. He had to say, he liked this plan. He fucking loved the smell of carnage in the morning. “BOYS!” He yelled over the comms link. “Not a single one of you gets on a transport home without a single Tarkan kill, hear me loud n’ clear?” “We’re going to find that commander wherever he is hiding. Justice for the KSA!” The men responded with a unified, “YESSIR!” He grinned, “Time to crash a party.” He said as he lit a cigarette amid the shards of the broken window. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Baccus turned to Kage, “Sir, the insurgencies are going as planned.” Kage nodded, not faltering from his playing for a single moment as if the piano was an extension of his body, a connection never to be severed even in the direst of situations. “Good.” He chimed, his music continuing to pipe throughout whatever Tarkan communication line they could get it through. Their method of jamming was the most elegant thing in the entire KSA. “Ensure the fleet follows its commands, so long as ‘c-alpha’ continues to be an option.” He said. Baccus began to bark orders, but for the most part the fleets hard already done what was discussed. The fleet split evenly down the middle, five thousand and five thousand. With that, the fleet not-so-elegantly began its likely effective attempt to unceremoniously curb stomp the two north-most groups of light and medium units. Meanwhile, at the exact same time the Drodo would warp in and strike the group of line. Yes sir, it was needle-like precision. Exactly, what Kage had desired. (SUMMARY: -Attacked the North LIGHT unit and North MEDIUM unit -Swarms of KSA marines and ground troops moving against the palace in an attack towards the throne room in an attempt to capture/kill nobles and find the “Commander” IE: Ardir -The Amphibibot went boom. And played some lovely music. -All of this happens at around Drodo’s emote.)

The Drodo Fleet glided ominously by the burnt remains of the Tarkan Line ships, onto its next, as of then undetermined target.
There was a silence on the bridge, celebrations since died down; Almost as quickly as they began, Viran had observed. She broke the silence by very suddenly giving an order;
"Heavy line. Tell the fleet."
The first officer stood up, surprised.
"But we could be attacked by three other groups!" He informed.
Murmuring spread through the room.
"There's two other allied groups here. One of which is far larger than us. Guess where the last one of the three is going first?" Viran countered. The Officer's mouth opened, but Viran swiftly raised her index finger, silencing him.
"Don't wanna hear it. Every second counts here, and if we don't go right now, this plan implodes on us. Understood?"
Her First officer nodded, somewhat grudgingly, and sat back down.
"Good. Comms, open a channel to the fleet, we leave immediately."
With a swift order from Viran, and a quick regrouping, the fleet was once again away, making a bee-line for the heavy Line ships.
"Commander, we're within missile range." A officer reported behind Viran. She nodded.
"Very good. Have all ships take there targets and fire Antimatter Missiles." The officer nodded and started relaying the commands to the rest of the fleet. After several seconds of silence, the line of ships started to unload entire pods of missiles to the point that the Tarkan fleet was partially blotted-out from the captain's point of view.
"We will be within turbolaser range in a few short moments, captain." Viran didn't respond.
"Have the ships on the flanks start on there way around the ships, surround them." She commanded. After several seconds, the ships to the flanks of the fleet advanced, and more ships peeled up and down to create yet another sphere, bursts and jets of green - turbolasers - licking against the hulls of the Tarkan ships. Viran's only hope was that the other two allied fleets would be able to clamp down on the other Tarkan fleets before they can respond to her move.

Ardir entered into the bunker 30, one hundred meters below the surface of Planet 001, followed by his escort of one man. Numerous screens covered the walls, several illuminated with warning lights, something was wrong, Ardir hadn't been paranoid enough. Ardir focused in one of the screens, the one with the locations in real time of his fleet, the image was distorted, now he was sure, something was very wrong. The Beyvik of Sudol activated the communicator and tried to contact his ships, but instead of the voice of his soldiers a strange music filled the room, it was beautiful but it shouldn't be there, something in Ardir's head said that music had been created to be his requiem.
"Jamming my communication with piano music..." muttered Ardir "Elegant..."
But he was expecting something like that, everybody try to jam the enemy's communication nowadays. The "special communicators" that he had given to the three commanders that decided to stay in the space, his three prodigies, the only three Tarkan in his army who really understood that he wasn't a common leader, that he could save their species, that he could be their savior. More than mind control indeed. Of course his "special communicators" wasn't something magic, or even high-technology devices, in fact they were quite old, but reliable, very difficult to create interference, but very slow too.
Ardir opened the last message. Kirane. She was under attack of the Drodo and jumped into warp. Good girl, always so obedient, always listening her Lord. Acording to her, Bashan was under attack of the main KSA fleet, 10,000 ships, and Ricath was moving toward him. They wouldn't arrive on time, Bashan would be destroyed if he was fighting alone, and the slow communications was a serious problem if he wanted to reorganize his fleet, indeed the enemy commander was very clever. But not clever enough.
"Contact to T-66, order to create a filter to the sound of the piano, now" ordered Ardir.
The computer obeyed, the laboratory T-66 was the main electronics and informatics research and development center in the planet. The reply said that the creation of such programme would take some minutes. Less than expected, it was elegant but a mistake the use of a piano, the music was very easy to take out from the communication's channel.
"My Lord..." said the guard.
"I know, the palace is under attack" said Ardir without even try to sound like the scary dark lord "That was the very first thing that I saw in the screens, don't worry, soldier, I have a plan, but the orbital invation is the main threat now."
The enemy fleet was faster and had better firepower, but they were thinking that they were attacking a common Tarkan Byevik. Poor ignorants.
Ardir prepared his plan. He had two or three tricks, and even if he wouldn't win the battle, if he'd cause enough damage, Abanan could eliminate the rest of the enemy fleet once he arrived. But it wasn't his favourite option, Abanan wouldn't arrive on time, and he could lose his credibility with the stupid nobles. No, he had to win, or at least, to resist the following hours. Then he realized, even if he couldn't save the battle in space, he could make more people believe in him as a savior if he stopped the invation to his palace. A miracle, a miracle from a messiah.
Ardir looked the screens conected to the palace's camaras, the enemy was advancing toward his throne room, where most of his vassals were still ignorant of the circumstances. He couldn't do anything but laugh, so predictable, attack the place were the Lord was celebrating banquets everyday, where the guards would be possiblily drunk. They probably had a map of the palace, because they were advancing, although slowly, with an impossible precision for someone who don't knows the way into his deliberately labyrinthine structure. But they couldn't know about his several underground instalations, or his aces up his sleeve.
"Alright, let's play..." said Ardir.
First of all, he contacted the guard's leader, a veteran of war who fight under his command during the Fall of Miperors. As every high-ranked soldier, he was absolutly devoted to his Lord and would give his life if the Beyvik asked for it. Ardir couldn't remeber his name.
"My Lord!" greeted the soldier between the sound of shoots when he heard the voice of Ardir through his communicator "The palace is under attack! We are fighting the enemy, but they are better armed than us! They overnumber us!"
"You are doing right, my soldier" said Ardir with a fake fraternal voice "Try to regroup in access to the throne room, they must not enter. Your names won't be forgotten! Fight for the empire! Fight for Lord Kogac!"
The warcry shook the earth and the communicator while Ardir switch off it. They wouldn't survive, the enemy was better prepared for battle, better weapons, better armor. But Ardir noticed that seemed to have not reinforcements, the satellites seemed to failing to detec them until the attack started, but not seem to have armored support or air support. It was a blitzkrieg, they wanted to kill him quickly before he could defend himself.
"Do you know what is the main weakness of a lightning war?" asked Ardir to his escort.
"I don't know, my Lord" replied the guard, confused "Maybe it's cost?"
"No" said Ardir flatly "The main weakness is that the victory depends in the cabaility of the enemy commander to counter attack."
"But, my Lord, that it's the weakness of every war, right?"
"Yes, but the blitzkrieg is the most evident, if you don't know well your enemy, you couldn't know how he or she will act. They don't know me."
Ardir contacted Yasela.
"Lord Kogac, what do I owe the honor?" said the favourite servant.
"Dear Yasela, prepare the Black Thunders, defense plan sigma" said Ardir.
"But, my Lord, we are not... Yes my Lord"
Ardir smiled as Yasela cut the connection.
"Who are the Black Thunders, my Lord?" asked the guard.
"Oh, you are not of the circle, well, it doesn't matter, forget it."
The guard remained silent. Ardir remebered one last thing to do, contact the Dark Brigade. The filter was ready and he sent it to his three subordinates in the space and then to the small group of 1061 light ships. The communications cleared a bit, but the obnoxious piano music continued sounding in the background. Then he said the secret command to the Dark Brigade.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"The Lord sent the order" said the metallic voice "Prepare attack move 14"
"Indeed, he said the secret command" agreed the other "To all the ships of the Dark Brigade, attack move 14: disappear."
The 1061 light ships suddenly vanquished from Kage's ships radars.

(( Unfortunately, my time for this has vastly decreased. I'll post more fully at some point, but for sake of continuing I'll give the bare bones of what my emote -would- include.
Subject to change until the next post.
-Kage sends his fleet to the next closest cluster of Tarkans. The 1000 Medium units I believe. If the HL is -NOT- already under attack by the Drodo, which I think it is last I checked but I could very well be wrong, the other five thousand would head that way.
-The attack on the palace continues as normal. Yargh. Priorities include: 1) Causing mayhem 2) Finding the Tarkan commander 3) Salivating at the thought of capturing or killing Tarkan nobles faster than electronics go on Black Friday.
-The Jamming Continues. ))
